Music

The Music Ministry of Ponca City’s First Baptist Church seeks to inspire and develop true worship of the Lord Jesus.  There are many ways church members can become involved:

Adult Choir (18+): The Adult Choir helps to lead worship each and every week.  We seek to inspire worship through a variety of music.  Anthems may be anything from Jane Mashall’s My Eternal King to the modern worship song We Cry Out.  But whatever we sing, we desire to lift up the name of the Lord Jesus.  Rehearsals are Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:00 PM in the choir room.

Orchestra:  The primary function of the orchestra of FBC Ponca is to lead worship each week.  The group is open to high school age students – adults.  If you play an instrument, we need you!  Orchestra also helps out with special productions such as Christmas/Easter programs.  Rehearsals are Sundays at 8:30 a.m in the Worship Center.

Children’s Choirs (K-5th): Children’s choirs at FBC Ponca are designed to train up the next generation of worship leaders.  We have 2 choirs that meet on Wednesdays at 5:30 PM: K-2nd & 3-5th.

Youth Choir (6th-12th):  Coming this fall we will be starting a youth choir.  Youth choir is a great opportunity for students from 6th-12th grade to join together in worshiping God.  The youth choir takes an annual mission trip each year in the spring.  Here’s an example of what youth choir can be:

Hand Bells: The handbell ensemble is a unique and beautiful way you can be involved in the worship ministry of FBC Ponca.

Silvertones (55+):  This is our choral group for Senior Adults.  We meet on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 in the Assembly Center.
