FBC Ponca’s Children’s Choir Program

FBC Ponca offers Children’s Choir for students in grades PreK-5th grade.
Children’s Choir will meet on Sunday afternoons from 4:00-5:00pm.
Children’s Choir will start on Sunday, August 21st!

Children’s Choir will present “Christmas in Egypt” on Sunday, December 4th at 10:00am

Children's Choir Mission

The mission of Children’s Choir is to teach children how to praise God in song. We will be working on a Christmas program called “Christmas in Egypt” this semester!

Using the flight to Egypt as the historical background, Kathie Hill creates a story of the possible relationship Mary, Joseph and the Christ-child might have had with their Egyptian neighbors. As Joseph relates the story of Jesus’ birth, even the most unbelieving adult learns to see Christmas through the eyes of a child.



Program Characters

Students have the opportunity to audition for speaking parts/solos on Sunday, September 11 at 3:00pm (before choir).
Students who receive a part are expected to learn and memorize the part(s) outside of choir rehearsal and participate in a few extra rehearsals throughout the semester.
