FOUNDATIONAL SCRIPTURE

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers

in SPEECH, in CONDUCT, in LOVE, in FAITH, and in PURITY." - 1 Timothy 4:12

We desire to teach students what it looks like to live out a Christ-centered life. The 5 areas mentioned in this verse speak to all aspects of the life of a follower of Jesus Christ, and we seek to help students live a gospel-centered life in all these areas.

WEEKLY EVENTS

Bible Communities are an opportunity for our students to split up into small groups to study Scripture and develop spiritually through the teaching of specific lessons geared towards the lives of students. We split up in groups for Middle School Girls, Middle School Boys, High School Girls, and High School Boys, and all of our groups are led by amazing adults leaders who have a huge love for the students.

Midweek is an energetic time of corporate worship made just for the students. We start off with having games and worship followed by Bible Study and small group discussion. We love praising the Lord and have a lot of fun while doing it! We may even break out a dance party every once in a while.

THE ATTIC

The Attic is our dedicated student ministry space located literally in the attic of the Assembly Center. We meet here for Bible Communities, Midweek, and many other activities and events. It's a place for students to come have fun while fellowshipping and worshipping together. It features a concession area, a game area, hangout space, and a place for corporate worship times.

ANNUAL EVENTS

Major Events

BIG WEEKEND

Spring 2026

Big Weekend serves as an opportunity for evangelism and discipleship during the school year. Students who come are split up guys/girls and by grades and spend the weekend together praising the Lord and growing deeper in their walks with Jesus. Students stay the night in the homes of some of our church members and participate in fun activities, corporate worship, and small group discussion with their peers throughout the weekend.

SUPER SUMMER

June 2-6, 2025

Super Summer is a Christian leadership camp for students held at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, OK. This camp is a place where students come to grow deeper in discipleship with Jesus as they seek to live out their lives for Him. The students who go are Christian leaders inside of our own student ministry, and each student must complete a list of requirements and be serving as a leadership student in our student ministry for the ability to attend.

Super Summer Requirements List

FALLS CREEK YOUTH CAMP

June 16-21, 2025

We take students who have completed 6th-12th grade down to Davis, OK for an incredible week of camp! For over a century, Falls Creek has impacted thousands of lives of students through the spreading of the gospel of Jesus. We attend camp as a church and participate in a multitude of different activities such as swimming, volleyball, kickball, pin trading, breakout sessions, corporate worship with other churches and just with our church, and many others. We love seeing students come to know Jesus all while building strong faith-based relationships with the students that attend.

CRAZY SUMMER NIGHTS

August 3-6, 2025

Crazy Summer Nights is 4 nights of high energy competition and fellowship! We use CSN as a tool to get our regulars to invite lost friends to come and join us for the CRAZINESS and to hear the gospel of Jesus! Students choose a team led by our adult leaders, then participate in corporate times of worship and Bible study, crazy games, and small groups. Each team seeks to earn the most points and the team that does has their team name forever inscribed on the CSN Cup!

Minor Events

On Super Bowl Sunday (February 9 at 1:30PM at Young Park ) we'll play an unusual yet competitive game called Cow-Tongue Football. This is a competition much like ultimate frisbee with one major difference, we use a literal cow tongue instead of a frisbee. This is a super competitive game for both guys and girls. Then once it is over, we go to the Attic to watch the Super Bowl!

This event occurs just before school starts. We'll have a time of games and giveaways/drawings for students as they get ready to head back to school. We use this time as a prayer time to set student's hearts on mission as they prepare to re-enter their mission field once again.

The Turkey Bowl is a classic game of flag football that takes place in mid November.  For 11 years now, the students have battled against the adults to see who's the best! With the adults being on a hot wining streak of 8 wins in a row, will the students ever be able to put at end to it? Guess we will find out next time!

Thanksgiving dinner comes to the Attic! Who doesn't love a good meal shared with friends and family?! For this evening, everyone brings their favorite food to share! Those who bring a home-cooked dish are able to enter the cook-off competition as well!

We love celebrating the birth of Jesus by having lots of Christmas-based fun! Students can enter the gingerbread house making contest or play in our Christmas themed games. And to start it all off, we read the story of the greatest gift ever given, one that came to save the world!
